Top 4 HOT Bronzer's and Blushes

Hey everyone,

Well today I decided to shake things up, so I'm going with a makeup post today. Plus also stay updated either from RSS or GFC cause a lot is coming on Fashion Girlz. Trend Reports, Acessories, makeup looks, Juicy beauty secrets, and- Wait no! Cheater! ;) if you wanna know what's new, you gotta stay tuned.

Top Number 1 is definitely Too Faced "Leopard Love complexion perfection" palette. It's a 3 in 1 palette. You've got your bronzer, blush, and Brighten. Plus what I love about this, is that it's got that color that just simply blends into your skin, and gives such a fine bronzed  finishing look, especially if you add the bronzer just a little bit below the cheekbone. The blush from what I can tell you, is rosy, it's not too light, and not too dark, it's perfect. Also to mention that once you apply it, and swirl it around your cheeks the color will blend in. The Brighten is lovely! I personally use the brighten as a cheek powder since you can see it's kind of combined in the colors. It's got pink, a glowing bronze, and an earthy tone in the middle.

In second place, we've got a Coastal Scents Contour and Blush palette. Also a very popular blush palette and very used throughout the beauty globe ;)
Here you've got all the basics. You've got your two blushes, Contour, shades, and concealer. It's perfect to take in any tote bag when your on the go, or even for short travel when you need some basic beauty essentials, this will be perfect to take along. You have everything you need for face all in one.

Those are the Top 2 so far, next up (#3 & #4) they may not be palettes, but they do get the job done.

My favorite bronzer and blushes from this entire Summer are both from Benefit and NARS. During summer vacation, I took them EVERYWHERE with me, including at the beach. I mean you never know when you might go right to the movies after the beaches. So I would apply some bronzer, blush, mascara & gloss, nothing big. Just short. sweet. and simple.

And that's all for now everyone, stay up-to-date with my next posts ;)

XOXO

Helpful Beauty 101! #1

Hey everyone!

Today I come with an amazing post that will definitely be super helpful to all of you who take care of yourself, or are beauty lovers, or if you are just into beauty.  I am just so excited I don't have any idea what to say for the introduction, so instead, let's make it short, and move onto the post! #1 ;)
SKIN:
Important Daily Care for you type of Skin-

For OILY SKIN- For Cleansing: This type of skin needs a strong cleanser that contains either alpha-hydroxy acid OR that contains salicylic to get rid of all the dead skin, and it will help cleanse and clear your pores, and dissolve some excess that is clogging up your pores. When using moisturizer, make sure you use a non-cosmedogenic type of moisturizer.

For NORMAL SKIN- Cleansing would be easy as 1-2-3. Just gently wash 1-2 times a day with a soap-free formula to cleanse the skin. For moisturizing, any type of light weight moisturizer (it can be non comedogenic) that you feel comfortable using.

For DRY SKIN- To cleanse, you can use any mild soap free formula at night (before going to bed) and then rinse with WARM WATER in the morning.

Exfoliation for Oily & Dry Skin!

Exfoliating for OILY SKIN- For Oily skin, it is recommended to use an exfoliating face wash on the acne-prone skin type everyday. For a more intense method of exfoliating a at-home microdermabrasion kit that contains or uses salt crystals (recommended: use once a week - max.) and this helps lessen and decrease the appearance of large pores or acne scares.

Exfoliating for DRY SKIN- for Dry skin, it is recommended to be buffed (2-3 times a week) using a milkd microbread scrub. (be sure to AVOID using microdermabrasion, since it can be really harsh on the Dry or Normal type skin.)

What Blush Color are you?

Not many Cosmetic Colors can really bring out your true beauty. It depends the color you use on your skin. For example:

If you have FAIR Skin: It is highly recommended that you use Soft pink colors, or if you tend to use blush a lot, a Peachy Blush is the perfect color for this type of Skin Tone.

If you have MEDIUM Skin: it is recommended that you use a type of vibrant Pinks, Apricots, Gold-Pinks to really bring out that glow in your skin.

If you have DARK Skin: it is recommended that you use colors that really "pop" such as vibrant bright Fuchsia, a Rich plum color, a Medium bight pink rose color is perfect for this type of Skin Tone.

Applying Blush the RIGHT Way? It can sometimes depend on your face shape. Two ways to apply is by applying it on the apples of your cheeks (say cheese and apply). And a new way is by applying it JUST a bit lower from the apples of your cheeks. (Kabuki's are great blush brushes to use.)

What's my type of Bronzer?

Fair Light Skin- bronze, apricots, and peach shades will do the trick.

Light/Medium- Medium Bronze applied on the T section of the face + cheeks. Then apply a Bright pink blush on the apples of your cheeks.

Olive to Dark- Copper, Shimmery Bronze, and deeper hues are perfect for these type of skin tones.

What Colors will make my eyes Stand out?

What if your Blue eyes: using opposite colors will do the trick. Such as earth-type of colors, like a copper, bronze, chocolate, gold, neutral will really bring out those blue eyes.

What if your Brown Eyes: Blue, Navy, Vibrant Violet is the answer! These type of opposite colors will really show out your eyes, and mainly turn the focus on the eyes.

What if your green eyes: Lavender, Violet, Plum, dark red such as burgundy will do the trick

Tip: To bring out your eye color, always remember to use opposite colors, instead of using blend colors that will just make your eyes blend in with the rest.

Remember! Always Exfoliate the skin (once every week will do) , you wouldn't want dead and dry skin, would you? By exfoliating and scrubbing the skin, this removes all the dead skin cells, and dry flaky skin, leaving new soft radiant skin behind.

Also, By adding moisturizer you keep the skin smooth and hydrated (depending on what moisturizer you are using). Same goes for using Sunscreen, a VERY Important ingredient for healthy skin. Whenever you are out, either going to the park, beach, flying kites, or anything outdoors under a hot summer and sunny day,  have your Sunscreen and apply a good layer on the visible skin. (One of my Summer Articles contain recommendations for a good Body & or Facial Sunscreen)

And that was Today's post! I hope this helped! It is very good to keep in mind, and you've got some great tips, article sources, deals & promotions right here! :)

Summer Lovin' :Makeup!

Hey Everyone!!!

:) 'Know what makes me smile? Knowing that you guys love to read my blog - so I've got some many, many great posts and special surprises for all of my readers!! Today I have a great post on a new "blog series" on FashionGirlz called Summer Lovin' . So...just to give you a hint of what your going to start seeing in the Summer Lovin' Blog series, today, I bring "Summer Lovin' : Makeup!"
Okay, so let's start out with the "Top Summer Lovin' makeup picks!" -

The First pick here, is NYX Cosmetics  - The Caribbean Collection - 5 color Palette - it is such an easy small eyeshadow palette to keep in your summer bag, where you can just pull it out, fix yourself up by creating an easy yet beautiful eye makeup look. They have many many different color combination's for the Palette. And remember, this is the Latest NYX Cosmetics Collections for summer. And the best part is that it is in a great price range $8.75 which let me tell you the truth, is a very good deal. So this is one of my top "Summer Makeup" picks, that I'd definitely have for Summer 2010 (This is basically optional, usually when I go to the beach I carry a Waterproof Mascara, Bronzer or Blush, and an SPF Lip Balm with me - but this is optional, and also a great Makeup Pick!)

Next up, are the two NARS Cosmetics- Cream Blush & Bronzing Powder, these two I always use when it comes to summer, I've been using them for a while and I LOVE em'! Basically the Cream blush gives some bright color added to your cheeks which goes with all that "I've been out under the sun all day" kinda look. And it's perfect for summer. The Bronzing powder Is great for applying on the cheekbone, to give more definition. Both really great Blush & Bronzer powders, that I would totally recommend to anyone. And they are a great combination (or two types of face powders) used for summer. (They range from $26-$32)

(Another great Blush Recommendation: Using the Benefit Cheek Color Powders are also a great way to add "that color" - two Cheek blushes I use (from Benefit): Georgia & Sugarbomb)

Going on to the Next one, NARS Cosmetics - Lip Gloss, & the NYX Cosmetics Black Label Lipstick. What I love about the NARS Cosmetics Lip Gloss (I use the Frisky Summer & Chihuahua) is that it's great for applying when you leave the beach and your going out with friends or going to dinner, you just apply this for a little "pop" gloss for the night out. The NYX Black Label Lipstick is great for applying (during the day or night) [I have/use the colors India and Heiress] basically for that "Nude lip look" that is perfect for during the day.

(Other Lip Product Recommendations: Any SPF Lip Balm is perfect for Summer, NARS has the Pure Sheer SPF Lip Treatment, or there is also mylipstuff.com which has lots of lip balms.)

Covergirl's LashBlast volume Waterproof Mascara is great for summer lashes! Remember any Waterproof Mascara you are comfortable with will work best! In this pick, I chose the Lashblast Waterproof mascara because I have tried it and it works great! (To remove: you ARE supposed to remove this with an eye makeup -waterproof- remover, it works best.) :)

TIP: Instead of using foundation - you can use Tinted Moisturizer, which is a replacement for the whole foundation process, and yes, it is also perfect for summer.)

MOST IMPORTANT!! :) You can't forget your protection! Recommended sunscreens- The Neutrogena UltaSheer Dry-Touch Facial Sunscreen SPF 55 is great and recommended! Easy to apply, no uncomfortable greasy feeling, great protection. And the Neutrogena Ultimate Sport Sunscreen SPF 55 for the body really good in protection, I use this sunblock every time I go to the beach and it's great! It is Oil-free and Waterproof. It has such a great price range ($10) and an important Summer Lovin' Pick! :)
And That is our post for today, make sure you check out tomorrow's "Summer Lovin'" post. I sense some Fashion?... who knows! But be sure to check it out! ;)

  • When wearing Bright colors, you will of course bring attention & make heads turn. Be sure to use bright colors wisely
  • Did you know? V-Necks make your neck look longer
  • Brown Eyes? ...wearing dark eye makeup will not help bring your eyes out. try Light and matte, a bit of shimmer helps and will pop those eyes out! ;)
  • Blue Eyes or Green? ...now we have to balance this out. Too much dark eye makeup will pop out your eyes, but sometimes will make them seem very small. And Light makeup helps by making your eye b the focus. So it's good to balance colors out.

Tips for the perfect Summer Tan!

Hey Everyonnee!

Well since we are in summer, what do we all think when the word "Summer" is brought up? Beaches, and in beaches what do we do? Go to the sea, relax, spend time with family, Getting a Tan.....
Now sometimes we may go get a tan, but sometimes we end up looking cherry red, so I've come up with some helpful tanning tips to keep your skin perfectly glowing and Tan for summer!
  • First of all we ALWAYS have to remember to wear sunscreen, those who don't, aren't caring for their skin. By wearing sunscreen you protect your skin from many problems. And you also keep your skin from peeling, so many sure to get a good Sunscreen (at least SPF25 or SPF15 is good)
  • If you want a perfect tan, You will have to exfoliate to keep your skin glowing, clean, and new. There are Sugar Scrubs (Such as the new Touch'd Sugar Scrub| 25% promo code: MBFashion | valid through June 7th-18th) Or any good exfoliator that you can find in your nearest drugstore that you feel comfortable using
  • Always keep a healthy body moisturizer around, apply some 1-2 times a day (maybe in the afternoon & before you go to bed) There are TONS of great moisturizers out there! But make sure you find those that keep your skin hydrated, that is what you'll need for summer, Try out Skin MD natural, which I do have a bottle and I even bought the sunscreen and it's my favorite moisturizer, the only one I use. But If you know about any moisturizer that hydrates your skin and keeps it in good health, suggest it by commenting below :)But using a good and proper moisturizer can help prevent those "Summer Tan" peelings and off-skin-tone blemishes.
  • Yeah I bet you know what I'm going to say...Always drink lots of water ;)
  • Selecting your Tanning Lotion: Every person has their own likes and differences when choosing tanning lotions, I mean maybe someone is looking for a different type that you are (that's for sure), but there are also suggestions that you can try out. Such as the Fiji Blend's 2009 Lavish Tanning Lotion, or the True Blue Spa- Strike Gold Self Tanning Lotion with Bronzer, or the L'Oreal Body Expertise Sublime Bronze Luminous Self-Tanning Lotion Instant Action, Also the 2009 California Tanning Lotion Collection, which comes with different "shades" or different "Types" to choose from. But remember, these are the "Top Tanning Lotion Suggestions" It all depends on you, just remember to read the ingredients, make sure it has some Natural Ingredients in there ;)
  • Showering with cool/a-bit cold water helps A LOT! It closes the pores, and gives a really healthy glow skin results.
  • Remember not to stay under the sun too much, or tan yourself aggressively, as this will cause some serious cherry red skin with the side of blemishes and peelings, ohh...don't forget those really bad sunburns! So remember :) try using this technique: First go 10 minutes facing up, then once those 10 minutes are over, flip to the other side so it will also tan your back.
  • A Good walk on the beach (back and forth) helps exercise your legs and abdomens, so it will look more toned and give that nice last touch
  • Always have a bottle of Aloe around! This helps soothe the skin!
So by following these basics tips, you are going to have one perfect Glowing Tan! And you remember the basics right?
*Moisturizer
*Sunscreen
*The Right Tanning Lotions
*Keep an aloe bottle around
*Exfoliate and Cleanse
*Cool Water to close pores and Give a glowing healthy skin
*Drink Water

And Take good care of your skin!
There is also....the tanning bed sessions. But that is only if these tips don't work out for you, the 2nd option would be the Tanning Beds, but start out 10-15 minutes, don't go max yet! (6 sessions would do good)
I Hope this Great "Tips for Perfect Tan" Post Helps out! ;)
Always on the search for the best!

Staying Fit & Health Tips! (For Summer)

Hey everyone!

Today I'm going to cut the time of search for you, and share workouts and exercises that I have found to be effective and showed results easily. We've all been through that time period where we've searched for all sorts of workouts, tried out all sorts of new and hip exercises and fancy dance routines

Well to start off. You need to be motivated, you can't start your workout when you're all "shlumpy" so the right time to kick-off your workout is when you are motivated.

Second, before exercising you SHOULD warm-up, it's easy, some recommended easy 5-minute warm-ups to get you in the "burning fat" zone are: 5min jogging in place, 5min jump rope, 5min treadmill, 5min jumping jacks, or even 5 minutes of just randomly dancing in place- anything to get the heart rate up.

By warming-up you are now getting in that burning fat zone, which is what you want, and what you need if you're moving on to the next part. Now what we all look for when we search for ways to get our figure back, is the ANSWER. I mean if we truthfully and honestly speak here, we probably all just read 5-6 introduction words then skip onto the exercises, to know WHICH ones will just burn that fat forever! Well one important thing is that it's not instant day and night, remember to keep weekly exercise, stay consistent, have a good accompanying healthy diet, and most importantly stay determined- do not forget the reason you started.

Now to kick-off the exercises, this a list of workouts that help a lot & you might want to consider:

  • Dumbbell Side bends- I definitely recommend this one, works for waist, side fat, and love handles.
  • Ab Crunch- Ball (A REALLY GOOD EXERCISE! Burns that tummy fat and helps tone. But be sure to keep doing this exercise! no cheating! And do not rush through it. You have to feel the pulse and burn.)
  • Side Planks
  • Leg Raise
  • Side Leg Raises
  • Wall Sit - This works the Thighs really fast, but keep holding on! Don't let go to easily!
  • Step Ups
  • Walking Lunges - this really tones and firms the thighs
  • Calf Raise- (REALLY great workout, try doing 50, then advance to 75 the next day and so on.- you will feel the burn, and the pain the next day, but it feels great knowing that your working your calf!)
After Workout: Be sure to stretch your body, and stretch those muscles. Trust me, you wouldn't want to feel like fried bacon the next day.

NOTE: The trick is NOT to go quick and fast through these exercises, but to go slow and FEEL the burn.

Favorite Recommended Itouch/phone app: SixPackAPP

Also accompanied by the fitness: to help the fitness and support, here are some nutrition tips, and some tricks you can choose to follow

  • Drinking Water & Apple Cider Vinegar (mixed) before Lunch or Dinner. (recommended serving: 1 cup of water, and mix in 1-2 tablespoons of Apple Cider Vinegar)
  • Drinking lots of Lemon with water. (NOT Lemonade! Nice try! But real Lemon with water) You can also drink the Lemon with water before Lunch and Dinner. (Squeeze about two lemons in one cup of water for better results.)
  • OR you can try drinking warm or hot water every meal, it aids quick digestion and cleanses the body- you can choose to add some lemon, or honey (believe it or not honey helps a bunch, check out the health and beauty benefits of honey)
  • Switch your juices, sodas, and other drinks to Pure water. And be sure to drink lots of water each day! It helps clean out your Digestive system and keeps you slim, also proves to keep your skin clean and hydrated!
  • Stretching or Yoga REALLY helps out after a good tough workout. So you can stretch your body & muscles. Stretching after a workout is effective since it molds your form into a much slimmer result, rather than keeping your bones and body tensed like fried curled bacon.
  • Cardio Exercises before working out, really gets you in the fat burning zone (5 minutes of jogging, or running, or jump-roping, or even dancing are really great Cardio Warm-ups!)
  • Make sure to avoid foods like: Pasta, Soups, artificial pop tarts, candy, chips & soda, foods that would contain high amount of Sodium, Carbs, Sugar, Total Fat, or Calories. [NOTE: 3,500 Calories is equivalent to 1 pound of Fat.] Consuming too much of these can cause some serious fat to appear in your tummy(metabolism) , arms, and legs.
