Mineral Basics Eyeshadow's Review

Hey everyone,

This week is going great so far, how about yours? ;) Well we've got two upcoming Reviews + Giveaways, such as the Mineral Basics & The Cream Perfume Company (Kaponga.com) and well I am very excited! Also very glad to know that my readers are enjoying and are interested in my posts, and that just makes my day :)! I am glad those of you who read are interested in what I post, and I will keep doing more! ;)

So let's get started with the Mineral Basics Eyeshadow Review + Giveaway!! ;)
Mineral Basics is a Mineral Makeup brand that focuses on giving the best natural cosmetics to people with any type of skin tone. And you know, I am a sucker for Mineral Makeup ;)
They have tons of Cosmetics, from Mineral eyeshadows to lip products, Makeup brushes, to gift sets and collections and much more.
I got a chance to checkout the mineral eyeshadows
And got to try out 15 eyeshadow samples, and these were the 15 samples I chose:

What I really love about the Mineral Basic Eyeshadow's is that they are all really pigmented. A really good quality. I never had any problem applying them or anything. They are not too shimmery and not too matte, just the right type. Also, you can choose if you want shimmer or matte, that doesn't really matter. To tell the truth, I did use up all of these for different looks, which turned out amazing!

Also to point out that the Apricot Corrector, Pink Corrector, Earth, and Perfect Tan are also used for cheeks - mineral powder. Which is really cool. I really did love the Earth since it was perfect as a summer Bronzer, which I applied on the cheekbone.

They are easy to apply and easy to take off. But what impressed me the most, is that it didn't waste so easily. I created a smokey eye look using Forest AND Wind & Sea and I've been with it the entire day probably for 6-8 hours, and it lasted, which is what I always look for in any makeup I tend to try out.

And it's really hard to choose one favorite, since they all colors are beautiful. Some that Stand out are the Gold Shimmer, Bronze Shimmer, Paradise Aqua, and Emerald Fire really stand out (not in like the whole "shimmer" or too bright concept. But more like they stand out from all the colors; )

I had a great experience trying these out, and I would recommend anyone who is a Mineral Makeup Lover, like myself. And trying new colors is great, because I have never seen these type of colors in any palettes or eyeshadows I have tried before. The Mineral Basics eyeshadows are unique.

On Quest for Yummy Healthy Snacks!

Hey Everyone!!!

You know what's weird? I feel like it's been centuries since I published a post, Lol! But then again I did publish a post 2 days ago....Okay then! ;)

So Today I've got a special Health and Fitness post for all you healthy lifestyle lovers! I will be talking about yummy healthy snacks, super fitness secrets, and the Top 5 toning exercises for this Week :) So check it out and comment below telling me what you think
FIRST!! Before we get into the Delicious yummy yet healthy snacks, there is a secret: 3,500 Calories = 1 pound of fat (lb) :) there you have it, simple and laid out in front of you. Know you have more thoughts on what you eat. If you balance out your meals, say, 2,000 calories a day, that's great! but remember you also have to partner this up with some fitness during the week or weekends to stay in shape.

Now here is the Question everyone asks: "Okay, so now I know how many calories I'm supposed to consume per day to maintain, but I can't find any food that's good AND has a reasonable amount of Calories, Is there any yummy yet healthy food out there??" :(

:) Now this is where I come in. Yes! There is! Many, many, many delicious snacks out there! ;) Also Foods that you will Love that have a good amount of calories

  • Green apples with Peanut butter is Great! (make sure to check the different brands of peanut butter and compare the calories, and fats.) Some people prefer Red apple with peanut butter, yet they've never tried the delicious taste of Green apples with Peanut Butter
  • Homemade Smoothies!!! No, not the "fast smoothie" packets you can buy for $10 at a grocery store. Basically first you make sure you have a blender, then go out to the grocery store and browse the frozen fridges for those frozen bags of fruit, pick your favorite (such as peaches, raspberries, or maybe strawberries?) You can also mix in ordinary fruit. Add some milk, some sugar, blend. and Whala! ;)
  • Need something sweet like chocolate? or vanilla? Be sure to try out the Jello 100 Calorie Pudding, they are DELICIOUS! I totally love em'! You can find them in any grocery store, usually where the dairy stuff is located at
  • Don't forget there are TONS of 100 (and under) Calorie snacks out there, such as Nabisco cookies as an example. Also, If I remember clearly I used to buy these packets of completely chocolate cookies, that were Sugar free, had really low calories, and were/are so yummy! So before whining, always remember that those snacks are out there ;)
  • Special K- one of the many brands who have dozens of products devoted to healthy eating. Such as Special K 100 calorie Granola Bars, and all different kinds of Special K cereals.
  • Also remember that Jello is also a great treat. I always eat Jello when I can, it's delicious, although I'm not very picky on Sugar or Sugar Free (which in this case I would go with Sugar free)
Foods That contain High amount of Calories, carbs, that shouldn't be consumed too much:
* Pastries, tarts such as Zebra Cakes
* Canned Soups (contain super high sodium!! really bad)
* High Sugar and Carb snacks such as poptarts, snacks like cinamon apple bars, fruit rollups, gold fishes,
* Yummy-yet-killing chips & candy such as doritos, ruffles, funions, bliss chocolates, snickers, butterfingers
* Packed Frozen Dinners such as kid cuisine, frozen packed pastas, chickens, pizza's, always be careful on how much you consume of these frozen packed dinners and lunches

Remember not to consume too much of the Foods that are highlighted in Red (above) and try swapping it for the snacks (Highlighted in Blue) which are yummy yet healthy :)

And There you have it, I set out an entire Pantry-full Ideas, and foods to fill up an entire Pantry/ or Fridge. :)
Now, If you are looking for Foods such as Breakfast, Lunches, or Dinner ideas or special Recipes that maintain your calories, PLEASE Comment Below requesting for that post, and I'd be happy to write and publish that post ;)

Top 2 Featured Toning Exercises for this Week:

Ball Crunch: Not Painful, not that boring old crunch, big results, it tones and burns that baby fat in your stomatch (remember the slower, the better, the slower, the more you feel it burn.) All you need is a simple exercise ball which you can find for like $6 at any store like: Target, TJMaxx (they have tons of exercise equipment at low prices) walmart, Ross, Marshalls

Sand Bag Walk: (the sandbags used in this exercise, are those type of sandbags you would tie to your ankle, can be found in gym/workout equipment stores, and PROBABLY TJMaxx, Target, Walmart might have them) And basically you march back and forth (with the sandbags tied to each of your ankle/lower calf) from one point to the other, probably to start out 3 minutes, then to 5 minutes. And don't slack and drag your legs, be sure to keep up with that high leg march :) This is such a great exercise that tones your thighs and buttocks

And That was Today's marvelous Health and Fitness post ;)

Remember! We've got great Giveaways going on in FashionGirlz!

Summer Lovin' :Makeup!

Hey Everyone!!!

:) 'Know what makes me smile? Knowing that you guys love to read my blog - so I've got some many, many great posts and special surprises for all of my readers!! Today I have a great post on a new "blog series" on FashionGirlz called Summer Lovin' . So...just to give you a hint of what your going to start seeing in the Summer Lovin' Blog series, today, I bring "Summer Lovin' : Makeup!"
Okay, so let's start out with the "Top Summer Lovin' makeup picks!" -

The First pick here, is NYX Cosmetics  - The Caribbean Collection - 5 color Palette - it is such an easy small eyeshadow palette to keep in your summer bag, where you can just pull it out, fix yourself up by creating an easy yet beautiful eye makeup look. They have many many different color combination's for the Palette. And remember, this is the Latest NYX Cosmetics Collections for summer. And the best part is that it is in a great price range $8.75 which let me tell you the truth, is a very good deal. So this is one of my top "Summer Makeup" picks, that I'd definitely have for Summer 2010 (This is basically optional, usually when I go to the beach I carry a Waterproof Mascara, Bronzer or Blush, and an SPF Lip Balm with me - but this is optional, and also a great Makeup Pick!)

Next up, are the two NARS Cosmetics- Cream Blush & Bronzing Powder, these two I always use when it comes to summer, I've been using them for a while and I LOVE em'! Basically the Cream blush gives some bright color added to your cheeks which goes with all that "I've been out under the sun all day" kinda look. And it's perfect for summer. The Bronzing powder Is great for applying on the cheekbone, to give more definition. Both really great Blush & Bronzer powders, that I would totally recommend to anyone. And they are a great combination (or two types of face powders) used for summer. (They range from $26-$32)

(Another great Blush Recommendation: Using the Benefit Cheek Color Powders are also a great way to add "that color" - two Cheek blushes I use (from Benefit): Georgia & Sugarbomb)

Going on to the Next one, NARS Cosmetics - Lip Gloss, & the NYX Cosmetics Black Label Lipstick. What I love about the NARS Cosmetics Lip Gloss (I use the Frisky Summer & Chihuahua) is that it's great for applying when you leave the beach and your going out with friends or going to dinner, you just apply this for a little "pop" gloss for the night out. The NYX Black Label Lipstick is great for applying (during the day or night) [I have/use the colors India and Heiress] basically for that "Nude lip look" that is perfect for during the day.

(Other Lip Product Recommendations: Any SPF Lip Balm is perfect for Summer, NARS has the Pure Sheer SPF Lip Treatment, or there is also mylipstuff.com which has lots of lip balms.)

Covergirl's LashBlast volume Waterproof Mascara is great for summer lashes! Remember any Waterproof Mascara you are comfortable with will work best! In this pick, I chose the Lashblast Waterproof mascara because I have tried it and it works great! (To remove: you ARE supposed to remove this with an eye makeup -waterproof- remover, it works best.) :)

TIP: Instead of using foundation - you can use Tinted Moisturizer, which is a replacement for the whole foundation process, and yes, it is also perfect for summer.)

MOST IMPORTANT!! :) You can't forget your protection! Recommended sunscreens- The Neutrogena UltaSheer Dry-Touch Facial Sunscreen SPF 55 is great and recommended! Easy to apply, no uncomfortable greasy feeling, great protection. And the Neutrogena Ultimate Sport Sunscreen SPF 55 for the body really good in protection, I use this sunblock every time I go to the beach and it's great! It is Oil-free and Waterproof. It has such a great price range ($10) and an important Summer Lovin' Pick! :)
And That is our post for today, make sure you check out tomorrow's "Summer Lovin'" post. I sense some Fashion?... who knows! But be sure to check it out! ;)
